The ukulele is hot right now! Folks young and old are learning to play this friendly little instrument
— and loving it! If you’re one of the many people who thought you would like to give it a try but
didn’t want to invest in an instrument, this workshop is for you!
In just an hour or so, you’ll be playing simple tunes! You will learn some basic chords and techniques
on a loaned ukulele, and you’ll soon know if you have the bug — or not!
Ukulele performer and teacher Wendy Matthews leads this workshop with her family of loaner
ukes available for you to use. She has been teaching uke to beginners and intermediates in groups
and privately for several years. She has shared her Uke from Scratch workshop with newbies at
libraries, festivals, music shops and other organizations across the tri-state area.
