Kent Station is thrilled to be able to host Santa photos in the cozy cottage in front of the AMC Theatres once again this holiday season. Because of Covid, Santa was behind plexiglass for the last two years. “I have really missed holding precious babies and talking to kids in person.” Said Santa Dale. Kent Station will continue to take precautions by having hand sanitizer stations, an air purifier and making it easy for customers who get sick to cancel or reschedule in an effort to keep our Santas and customers healthy.
We are pleased to announce that this holiday season there is a third Santa joining our team. We look forward to welcoming “Seattle Black Santa”, Chukundi Salisbury, on December 3rd from 4 to 7pm. Kent is the seventh most diverse city in the country, and we want our Santas to reflect that. Customer S. Christian reserved a time specifically with Santa Chukundi and shared this comment with Kent Station, “I know a lot of people are probably looking forward to seeing a black Santa! We booked this day specifically because my dad is half black and always talked about how he never saw a Santa that looked like him growing up, so because he can’t get out much, we’re going to surprise him with a photo of his kids with the Santa he always wished he could see as a kid.”
Santa photo packages start at $20; both digital and printed photos are available. Due to restrictions during Covid, Kent Station implemented a booking system so that customers can make a reservation for their special visit with Santa instead of having to stand in line like in past years – sometimes for up to two hours on a rainy, cold Saturday! The booking system will stay in place since it was extremely popular with customers and the Santa team alike. Like in the past, only one family will be in the cottage at a time, making it a very personal visit with Santa.
