L.I.T. (Teen Group)

Library Initiative for Teens (7th -12th grade) A flexible and fun way for teens to give back to the community while hanging out and doing something for themselves at the same time. During our monthly meeting, we usually work on something important for the library such as planning programs, prepping books, organizing, etc.. and then we do a fun activity just for them. In the past we've done game nights, cooking, and crafts. Meetings are usually 1-1.5 hours long at 4:30pm during the school year.
If the monthly meetings are tricky for you, teens can also come in when the library is open to do some small jobs around the library.  A lot of teens pass through here looking for volunteer positions and this is our most flexible way to offer that!  There is a great group of teens involved and they seem to have a great time here (never assume anything with teens haha).  Email Heather for more details or questions!  hreilly@pomfretlibrary.org
