Thompson now has the File of Life Program. What is it?

The File of Life is a magnet that you place on your kitchen  refrigerator which will contain necessary information for emergency  responders to use in the event you need assistance.  It was designed to  make a difference between life and death by providing your absolutely  vital information to first responders.

In an emergency,  firefighters, EMTs, medics and other emergency personnel will  immediately recognize this File of Life and the information may help  them provide the best care.

The File of Life format is modeled to  be easy for patients to use.  However, if you’d like help filling it  out, our Fire Fighters will be happy to assist you.

The Quinebaug  Volunteer Fire Department has purchased the File of Life to distribute  to Thompson residents who may benefit from it; this primarily means the  elderly and disabled populations. The File of Life can provide peace of  mind for the most vulnerable individuals, and save lives.

Together  we can work together and improve emergency medical care for you or your  loved ones in Thompson.  To get your File of Life, contact Quinebaug  Volunteer Fire Department at 860-774-7555 or e-mail faldettak@gmail.com
